The Mission
To Establish a contemporary Chinese Cultural facility, which celebrates the contribution and achievements of the regions early Chinese pioneers, and provides a venue for the community to participate in Chinese cultural pursuits.
Case For Support
The Chinese are one of the largest and longest established migrant groups in the Cairns region. In the late 1800s, they made up 25 percent of the population and played a key role in the economic and social development of Far North Queensland, pioneers of the region’s banana and sugar industries.
